Welcome to Accra Technical University (ATU), Ghana's Premier Technical University. We are extremely happy that you made ATU your choice in pursuing tertiary education. We are convinced you made the right choice, given that the educational philosophy of the University is based on the provision of holistic education.

Since its establishment, based on our mission to churn out fully-equipped graduates fit for the world of work, the education at ATU has allowed students to acquire various skills and values that rival similar institutions anywhere in the world. Over the years, such efforts have cultivated and sent a wealth of human resources out into the world.

We have blazed the trail from Engineering, Applied Sciences and Arts to Business and have continued to offer industry players all over the country a reason to trust in the academic development pursued here in this University. ABOUT THE VICE-CHANCELLOR
Professor Samuel Nii Odai (PhD, FGA)

The current Vice-Chancellor of Accra Technical University was appointed on the July 3rd, 2019, taking over from Professor Edmund Ameko, who was in acting position. Professor Samuel Nii Odai is a Professor of Hydraulics and Water Resources. He was a two-time Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, having risen through the ranks as a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering. He is a recipient of the prestigious National Best Research Scientist Gold Award for water, environment, and sanitation, and a distinguished Commonwealth Academic Fellow. He is also the founding director of the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL).
