Inauguration of ICT FlexLab: ATU Staff & Students to be equipped with Tech Skills. Accra Technical University continues to renew its efforts in integrating ICT

An eight-member delegation, led by the newly endorsed Chief Executive Officer of the Korley Klottey Assembly, Stephen Adjei Sowah has called on the Vice-Chancellor of Accra Technical University.
The visit, according to the MCE and Coordinating Director was hinged on building a working relationship with the University – which is situated in the municipality – and further collaborating in the areas of Information Communication and Technology (ICT), local economic development through the drawing on the expertise and competencies within the University for business and locality development, and service delivery of the Assembly.
The Vice-Chancellor of Accra Technical University, Prof. Samuel Nii Odai, in his remarks was glad to receive the delegation while appreciating the Assembly’s role in fixing the University’s collapsed wall and affected room which was run into by a bus in the early part of 2021.
Prof. Odai further appealed to the Assembly to assist the University to improve upon waste collection on the University’s campus, construct speed ramps on the road lying on the western boundary of the University, and also rid the frontage of the University of squatters and petty traders.
The MCE thanked the Vice-Chancellor and his team for welcoming them. He assured the University of his and the Assembly’s support in all the areas discussed.
In the not distant future, the two institutions are looking forward to signing a Memorandum of Understanding to concretise their budding relationship.
