Rewind Wednesday: ATU Library Staff Undergo Training in Dynamic Team Building

Staff of Accra Technical University Library are undergoing a three-day workshop on Dynamic Team Building.

In the opening ceremony held on Tuesday, 28th September 2021, the University Librarian, Dr. Florence Plockey in delivering the purpose of gathering stated, ‘the training programme seeks to enhance the capacity of staff through personal development and building the teamwork of all staff at the University Library.” She believed that by the end of the workshop the spirit of unity, teamwork and trust would be built.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Nii Odai, in his keynote address advised staff to see themselves as a team with a vision to realise a common goal as a department. He said, “if you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go as a team”. He ended his address with some advice from Mark 3:25, “a house that is divided  against itself, cannot stand,” to emphasise the need for unity.

The Pro Vice-chancellor, Prof. Amevi Acakopovi, who was also present, applauded the University Librarian for the initiative which would serve as a collective strategy for the needs of the University as a whole.

Prof. Noble Kumawu the president of the Organisation Development Institute and an established author, was the resource person invited.
