Director of General Services, Mr. Daniel Larbi, who served as the chairman of the event, disclosed in his welcome address that the Guidance, Counselling and Career Development Directorate headed by Dr. Evelyn Bentil has organised several stress management workshops for students of ATU. He added that Management observed that similar workshops for staff would go a long way to benefit them and thus, the initiative to engage the Department of Environment and Sanitation.

Mrs. Nelly Owusu Affah, Head Nurse at the ATU Clinic, was present to educate members of the department on the significance of personal hygiene in relation to stress management. Madam Affah explained that poor hygiene would leave any individual prone to illness and injury, which are major causes of stress, depression and anxiety.

Members of staff were assured that in the event of an injury or illness, mechanisms are in place to accord affected individuals their due compensation. Mrs. Elizabeth Amegah Wovoe, a representative of the Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate, delivered the final presentation on employee compensation. She encouraged employees to take safety precautions seriously as compensations which are monetary, can never fix lost life.
