Established in 1949 as a Technical School and commissioned in 1957 as Accra Technical Institute, Accra Technical University then (Accra Technical Institute) became the first Technical University to be established.

It is announced for the information of prospective applicants and the general public that Accra Technical University has opened admission for the 2023/2024 Academic Year.

The Directorate of International Programs and Institutional Cooperation (DIPIC), Accra Technical University was formed to promote, support and co-ordinate all affairs of international education activities in the University.

It is the goal of the Alumni Relations Unit to work towards attracting and holding the interest of past (and even present) students in the institution’s activities of growth and development, by offering services that bring the alumni closer to the University.

The library’s prime responsibility is to provide high quality, up-to-date and relevant information resources and services to support teaching, learning and research needs of students, staff and faculty of the Premier Technical University
