Accra Technical University (ATU) hosted a press soiree on January 16, 2024, aimed at strengthening ties between the university and the media. Seasoned journalists and media managers attended “An Evening with the Vice-Chancellor” to foster dialogue and collaboration.
Accra Technical University has launched its 75th anniversary to mark over 75 years of impacting society and driving innovation. The colourful ceremony occurred at the university’s auditorium on February 9, 2024.
The ATU 75th Anniversary Planning Committee, in collaboration with the Department of Networking and Community Engagement and with support from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, embarked on a clean-up exercise at the university premises and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.

Accra Technical University’s debate team won in a 3:1 split in the ATU 75th Anniversary Debate Competition, securing the prestigious legacy trophy in a thrilling finale against the University of Ghana.
Throughout the competition, Accra Technical University showed unrivalled competence and perseverance in the face of formidable opponents like the University of Cape Coast and Takoradi University in the preliminary stages.

The Faculty of Engineering emerged winners of the Accra Technical University Inter-Faculty “What do you Know” Quiz on 10th November 2024 at the GTV studios. The all-exciting competition brought together the five faculties of the university to lock horns in an intellectual battle on the renowned “What do you Know?” Quiz show hosted by the famous Dan Afari Yeboah.
