Dr Kirstin Krauss is a leading authority and subject matter expert in the field of Generative AI and scientific integrity, with a combined 25+ years of extensive experience in higher education, research, and business.
Kirstin holds a PhD in Informatics, from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, while his entire career consistently focused on ensuring that ethical standards and integrity are observed as the foundation to research relevance and business leadership. Kirstin has taken on several advisory roles in areas related to research capacity building, doctoral programme reviews, research integrity services, education consulting, and Generative AI. While based in Ireland, Kirstin is also a part-time Research Advisor at Worldwide Information Services (WWIS), where he facilitates workshops and services for the WWIS Academy.
In prior roles as a Professor at UNISA and Associate Professor at Rhodes University, he focused predominantly on postgraduate student development and supervision capacity building in the Information Systems discipline. Kirstin has been invited and acknowledged by several associations and universities. These include Ghana Technology University College, Uganda Martyrs University in Kampala, 24th European Conference on Research Methodology for Business and Management Studies, British International Studies Association (BISA), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Academic Conferences International (ACI), International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), and many private and public universities in Southern Africa. Kirstin is a member of the Clarivate Academic AI Working Group
Prof Clinton Aigbavboa is an outstanding scholar in construction management, engineering management, and sustainable infrastructure at the University of Johannesburg. He currently holds the position of Interim Chair for the DS|/NRF Research Chair in Sustainable Construction Management and Leadership in the Built Environment. He is also the Director of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Centre of Excellence.
Amarkine Amarteifio is a Ghanaian painter who has been painting for over 40 years. He studied painting and drawing at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and graduated with a First Class Honours and
pursued his Masters in African Art in the same institution. He is also a sculptor, poet and writer on sociocultural and political issues.
In 1998, he was the guest artist from Africa at the Indiana Black Expo “AFRICA CELEBRATION”, USA. He received the Art Critics and Reviewers Association of Ghana (ACRAG) Special Award for best painter in 1999.
His works adorn many private homes and offices at home and abroad, including the Office of the President of Ghana, Jubilee House and the Peduase Presidential Lodge, Ghana, the Accra International Conference Center, the head office reception of AB and David Law firm as well as Newton’s Villa in Canada, among others.
Part of his projects have been the introduction of his brainchild, the “Accra for Art” initiative. It was a placemaking project with the aim of taking art from the private studios of artists to the public as a strategy to brand the city of Accra. It was also intended to promote the public appreciation of art whilst changing Ghanaian attitudes and growing the art industry. This was done in collaboration with the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, GAVA, Moh Awudu’s Ghana Graffiti and PITO( Painting In The Open).
He also spearheads the “Exciting the Artist in You” annual project of the Rotary of Accra Spintex. This a both a fundraising and artistic development project done in collaboration with selected artists from GAVA( Ghana Association of Visual Artists) and Rotary aimed at assisting the club’s efforts in their school building project.
His paintings have been exhibited in many local and international exhibitions, including as recently as 2022, two shows at Elysee Montmatre and UNESCO in Paris.
Amarkine is a charter member and a past president of the Rotary Club of Accra South. He has donated his works to be auctioned as part of many Rotary fundraising activities towards the provision of humanitarian aid for deprived communities in Ghana.
His poetry has been published in many Ghanaian newspapers and on social media as well as in the Obsidian Journal of Literature and the Arts in the African Diaspora. Additionally, his poetry has featured on many Rotary programs and International conferences and meetings.
His Ars Poetica group has featured in many poetry programs on radio and at Pa Gya!, a literally festival held annually at the Goethe Institut in Ghana.
