The proposed SE tertiary education program were developed taking into consideration the global best practices and their relevance to the country.
It has been realized that, the pace of EE market transformational activities has not been commensurate with the policy goals in terms of the labelling of electrical appliances (energy efficiency EE). In addition to this problem, follow-up reviews of the labelled electrical appliances are not conducted due to the complexities involved in locating their whereabout about two to three years. This is because there is no system of tracking down these appliances or no incentive that would compel consumers to return those appliances for review of their energy efficiency. Since the energy efficiency of electrical appliances deteriorates with time, a system of reviewing the already rated appliances will contribute immensely in accelerating the pace of EE market transformation activities in this country.
