Wisdom Kofi Afedzi is a Chartered Architect and Lecturer in the Department of Interior Design and Upholstery. He is recognised for his contributions to architectural education, design innovation, and professional practice within Ghana’s built environment sector.
Mr. Afedzi holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He is a registered member of the Architects Registration Council and an Associate Member of the Ghana Institute of Architects.
Before joining the University as a Lecturer, he served as an Industry Specialist within the Department, contributing to the integration of academic training and industry practice. He also served as an External Juror for Interior Design programmes, supporting quality assurance and student assessment processes. His professional experience includes architectural design, project coordination, and consultancy services, with emphasis on socially responsive and context-driven design solutions.
His research interests include social architecture, sustainable design, interior architecture, and the application of digital technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) within the built environment.
At the University, Mr. Afedzi teaches courses including Introduction to Design & Aesthetics, Interior Furnishing, and Interior Accessories at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is actively involved in workshops, seminars, and training programmes aimed at equipping students and young professionals with digital design skills and industry-oriented competencies.
