Marizuk Waris Tizumah is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology with expertise in biomedical imaging, artificial intelligence applications in diagnostic imaging, and radiation safety. His academic and research interests focus on developing innovative and clinically applicable imaging solutions for healthcare delivery, particularly within low-resource environments.

Mr. Tizumah holds an MSc in Medical Imaging from the University of Leeds and a BSc in Applied Physics from University for Development Studies.

Prior to joining the University, he served as Chief Marketing Officer and Account Manager at InstantRad Inc. and also worked as a Physics Teaching Assistant at Wa Islamic Senior High School during his national service.

His research interests include biomedical imaging, machine learning and computer vision for medical diagnostics, predictive disease modelling, radiation processing and protection, thermal sciences, renewable energy systems, and climate systems analysis.

At the University, he lectures courses including Radiography Physics, Introduction to Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound Physics, and General Physics. He also supervises final-year projects, coordinates clinical placements for Medical Imaging Technology students, and serves as Academic Counsellor for Level 100 and 200 students in the programme.

Mr. Tizumah has contributed to scholarly research in medical imaging, cancer management, renewable energy modelling, and environmental sustainability. His publications reflect interdisciplinary interests spanning healthcare technologies, artificial intelligence, energy systems, and climate-related studies.
