John Boateng Nkansah, is a Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, Accra Technical University, Ghana. He holds a BSc. in Environmental Science from KNUST; and an MSc. in Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation also from the KNUST, Ghana.
John is a multidisciplinary Research Scientist who has used several research techniques that combine a broad span of disciplines including Water and Sanitation Engineering, Environmental Microbiology, Composting, Climate Change and variability etc.
Precisely, his research focuses on the application of biochar in sequestrating carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases as a means of mitigating climate change. His professional interest is in data science, mathematical and statistical models for understanding the behaviour of complex engineering systems. Working as a lecturer has been a good experience and has driven his natured ambitions into play. He has also received several short trainings which he has earned certificates from them. These trainings have additionally opened his horizon to different areas of expertise.
