Students from the Accounting and Finance Department of Accra Technical University (ATU) Business School (ABS) have emerged winners of the 14th Accounting Students’ Association (ASA) Inter-Tertiary Quiz Competition, held at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) on Thursday, 23 July 2026.

The competition brought together students from ATU, the University of Ghana Business School and the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) to test their knowledge in accounting and related areas.

At the end of the competition, the ATU team came out on top, adding another academic achievement to the growing profile of the University’s Business School.

Following the competition, the team presented the trophy and certificate to the Head of the Accounting and Finance Department, Prof. Jones Ntiamoah, and the Dean of the ATU Business School, Prof. Elikem Chosniel Ocloo. The presentation provided an opportunity for the School to celebrate the students and recognise their effort in representing ATU

The win reflects the preparation and teamwork of the students, as well as the support and guidance they continue to receive from faculty in the Accounting and Finance Department.

The achievement is also a proud moment for the ATU Business School as it continues to prepare students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in their fields.

The University congratulates the students, the Accounting and Finance Department and the entire Business School on the achievement.

ATU also extends its appreciation to the University of Ghana Business School and the Accounting Students’ Association for hosting the competition and providing a platform for students from the participating universities to meet, learn and compete.
