Currently, the faculty runs 25 active academic programmes, covering various fields of study. These programmes are supported by a dedicated team of staff and a vibrant student body who continue to work together to improve academic standards and build a strong community within the faculty. Professor Ocloo also highlighted efforts in community engagement and student affairs, showing the faculty’s commitment not just to academic work but also to social impact and student development. One of the remarkable ideas he shared was the creation of a Faculty Development Fund. This fund would support faculty growth, research, and student-related activities. Among the proposed additions is the Department of Economics, which is expected to provide students with more options and equip them for today’s competitive business world. Under the proposed changes, the Faculty of Business will soon be known as the Accra Technical University Business School (ATUBUS). The meeting marked a fresh chapter for the Faculty of Business, with staff and students looking forward to a more focused and professional identity as a business school.
