Nana Benyi Ansah (PhD) is a lecturer at the Department of Building Technology, Faculty of Built Environment, Accra Technical University, Accra, Ghana. Nana Benyi holds a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering, an MSc in Construction Management and a Ph.D. Construction Management.

Nana Benyi Ansah’s areas of expertise are Building Technology, Construction Management, and associated Building and Civil Engineering courses.

He has research interest in the Life Cycle Assessment of Building Construction Projects, Construction Health and Safety, Circular Economy in Construction, Green and Sustainable Construction and related practices.

Dr Ansah is a member of the Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) Technical Committee 11 on Building and Construction. He was a committee member on the Ghana Building Code (GS 1207-2018).  

He has worked on several committees including, Committee for the Harmonisation and Adoption of Standards on Drinking Water and Sanitation (ARSO-THC-03) – Dar–El Salem, Tanzania; Committee for the Harmonisation and Adoption of Standards on Drinking Water and Sanitation (ARSO THC-03) – Nairobi, Kenya, and Committee for the Harmonisation of African Standards (ARSO).

Nana Benyi is also an adjunct lecturer at Pentecost University and Lakeside University College, Madina, an affiliate of Kwame Nkrumah University.

Dr Ansah also serves as a peer reviewer for several conference proceedings, a recognised reviewer for reputable journals, and has published several quality research papers. These include co-authored book chapters, a sole-authored book on construction safety performance, and peer-reviewed journal papers.
