Mohammed Latif Kikaa, a lecturer in the civil engineering department of the faculty of engineering, Accra Technical University (ATU). I joined ATU in May 2012 and has since amassed rich experience in teaching structural engineering courses such as structural analysis and design.
He has done extensive research into innovative ways of teaching structural analysis to undergraduate students in a simple, easy-to-understand approach, making complex topics like moment distribution and matrix methods appear easy to students.
He also served as the program coordinator for the civil engineering department for 4 terms.
Dr. Latif has more than 10 years’ experience as a structural consultant in the design office and has received a Ph.D. in construction technologies and civil engineering from Voronezh State Technical University, Russia in 2019. His Research topic is reliability assessment of steel structures taking into account the development of plastic deformation.
