ATU Acting Vice-Chancellor Chair IET-Ghana AGM, Advises Inductees

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Accra Technical University (ATU) has advised new inductees of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana, (IET-Ghana)to proactively tackle the challenges that affect the sector, pursue continuous learning, and uphold ethical standards.

He made this known in his remarks as the Chairman of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the IET-Ghana held on November 23, 2023.

The AGM, held under the theme “Bridging the Gap between Experience and Technology – the Role of IET,” aimed to explore the intersection of experience and technology in the fast-evolving landscape. Addressing the core theme, the chairman delved into the new trends shaping the future of technology and engineering.

In his concluding remarks, the chairman extended congratulations to the inductees and welcomed them to the community of intelligent professionals. He entreated them to be sensitive to challenges bedeviling the sector and proffer solutions to them. 

The chairman left the audience with inspiring quotes from Confucius and Vince Lombardi, encouraging the inductees to strive for personal excellence and innovation.

The meeting concluded with the chairman graciously accepting the responsibility of leading the AGM, leaving the attendees with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to advancing technology and engineering in Ghana.
