Accra Technical University (ATU) is in advanced discussions with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana, along with Christiani International, a global leader in providing technical and vocational training solutions, over a potential partnership to modernise technical education through cutting-edge academic equipment and solutions.

The meeting, held on 17th September 2024 at the University’s Council Chamber, featured a dialogue between the university’s management and Christiani’s regional manager, Sule Akarsu. During the discussions, Akarsu emphasised her company’s mission to bridge the digital divide by providing access to technical knowledge through advanced teaching systems and innovative solutions. These efforts focus on mechanical engineering, high-voltage technology, and Industry 4.0.

She also introduced ATU’s Management to Christiani’s groundbreaking educational tools, including training lab equipment, workstation systems, and learning media such as webinars, workshops, simulation programs, digital materials, and virtual/augmented reality technologies.

Both parties expressed shared optimism about the prospects of improving education and revolutionising learning in the digital age. They look forward to advancing their discussions toward a formal partnership that aligns with their mutual academic goals.
