With the rapid advancements in the field of Science and Technology, the need has risen to train students to acquire high level technical skills and produce professionally competent and innovate graduates to meet current demands and challenges. The Bachelor of Technology in Science Laboratory Technology programme is a relevant innovation to produce practically-oriented high level technical skills for sustainable developments in Industry, Commerce, Research, Health and Educational institutions in Ghana. This programme seeks to impart knowledge through in-depth examination of the principles, techniques and methods involved in laboratory practices and functions in industrial, research and educational establishments.
The BTech in Science Laboratory Technology programme will provide graduates with industry-focused, technologically-driven, skill-based training and professional knowledge in Science Laboratory Technology by using competency based and practice-oriented approaches in the teaching, organisation and delivery of courses.
The department offers programmes at Certificate, Higher National Diploma and Degree levels in Science Laboratory Technology.
