Dr. Bernard Martin Arthur-Aidoo is a registered member of Ghana Institute of Construction (GhIoC), America Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQSM). He had his educational training with top-notch institutions such as the University of Johannesburg in 2018, University of Westminster in 2006 and Accra Polytechnic in 2000 where he studied various courses in the field of construction technology and the built environment.

Dr. Arthur-Aidoo is a multi-disciplinary built environment researcher in the growth of small and medium-sized construction firms. Further, his additional specialties include quantity surveying, project management, and proposal development for small and medium-sized firms. Dr. Arthur-Aidoo is a member in good standing of the Ghana Institute of Construction, GhIOC. He has also worked within the construction industry as a Project Quantity Surveyor with the Ghana Highways Authority and as a project coordinator on various construction projects. Dr. Arthur-Aidoo is a perceptive lecturer who has supervised the thesis and project works of five (5) PhD students and four (4) students from the University of Johannesburg and with over twenty (25) Higher National final year students in Accra Technical University. Dr. Arthur-Aidoo is a prolific reviewer working with both local and international journals within the construction space.

He was the former Head of Department of the Building Technology from August 2020 to August 2022 and currently the Dean of the Faculty of Built Environment. He has to his credit over seven (7) current research publications.
