This is the outfit’s first official visit since the assumption of office by  it’s new Commandant, Major General Bismark Onwona.

The visit to ATU served as an avenue to discuss the relationship between both parties and the initiative borne out of said relationship. Major General Onwona expressed his appreciation towards the affiliation between the Armed Forces’ School of Ordinance and Accra Technical University and disclosed that he felt fulfilled watching students of the School of Ordinance graduate along with ATU students at the recently held 22nd Congregation of Accra Technical University.

The TRADOC team also used the opportunity to inquire about some programmes that are yet to be accredited to be ran at ATU for the Armed Forces.

Formerly known as Military Academy and Training School (MATS), TRADOC is a wing of the Ghana Armed Forces that manages the educational activities of the nation’s military forces. TRADOC therefore consists of all schools ran by the Armed Forces except for the Ghana Military Academy and the Jungle Warfare School. TRADOC also runs a Research and Doctrine Unit.
