Professor George Osei Adjei is a registered member of the America Society for Microbiology (ASM) and Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Ghana. He has had training with top-notch institutions such as the German Cancer Research Centre, Heidelberg and the Biochemistry Centre, University of Heidelberg, Germany, Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, Center for Plant Plant Medicine Research, Mampong Akuapem, where he embarked on various researches in the field of Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry.

He is a PhD holder in (Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics: Microbiology and Molecular Biology) from the Jiangsu University, P.R. China, School of Medicine, Biochemistry and Molecular Department under the supervision of Prof. Huang Xinxiang.

His career path and progress has been characterised by hard work and dedication to work. From a biology teacher and a research assistant at some point in his life, he joined Accra Technical University as a lecturer in Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics/Cell Biology and Genetics in July, 2011.

He received his Bachelor of Science (Biological) from the University of Cape Coast and MSc. In Clinical Microbiology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

He was the former Head of Department of Science Laboratory Technology in August 2019 to December 2020. He has to his credit over twenty (20) research publications.
