ATU Hosts University of Lagos Delegation to Explore Academic Collaboration

A delegation, accompanied by students from the University of Lagos (UniLag), paid a courtesy call on Accra Technical University (ATU) to discuss matters of mutual interest and explore possible areas of collaboration. The meeting took place at the Akwaaba Lodge Conference Centre at ATU.

The Director of International Programmes and Institutional Collaboration, Dr. Peter Arhenful, expressed his gratitude for the visit and highlighted the uniqueness of ATU. He also outlined potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in academic exchange, research, and capacity building.

On their part, the representatives of UniLag commended ATU for its commitment to practical and industry-focused education. He expressed the hope that the visit would pave the way for stronger academic partnerships, student and faculty exchanges, and joint initiatives that would benefit both universities.

The engagement also featured a vibrant question-and-answer session where students from both ATU and UniLag interacted. The students posed insightful questions on their courses of study, academic requirements, research opportunities, and future career pathways. The exchange of ideas enriched the session and further emphasised the mutual benefits of strengthening ties between the two institutions.

The forum was graced by various Deans and Heads of Departments of ATU.
