The Electrical and Electronic Department of Accra Technical University, under the auspices of the Head of Department, Dr. Stephen Edem Bani, has organised an educational seminar to keep students in the Department abreast of contemporary trends in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.

The seminar took place at the University Auditorium on June 12, 2023. 

Delivering the purpose of the gathering, Dr. Bani intimated that it was important for students to stay up-to-date with matters concerning their programme of study. Specifically, he cited the University’s opening of the Certified Electrical Wiring Professional Centre and the many benefits and opportunities available to certified electrical and electronic engineering professionals. 

Mr. Sydney Lloyd Abbey, a Certified Supervisor and a lecturer at the department, took students through work hazards and safety protocols when in the field and the need to adhere to them in an interactive presentation. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and make contributions. 

The programme was graced by some staff of the department.
