ATU and ISLA Forge Alliance to Boost Academic Innovation and Cross-border Collaboration

Accra Technical University (ATU) has entered a strategic partnership with the Institut Supérieur des Langues et des Affaires (ISLA), Togo, to offer new academic opportunities to students, faculty, and the wider academic community. The agreement was formalised during a signing ceremony on August 23, 2024, in Togo.

The collaboration will focus on key areas such as student and staff exchange programs, joint research projects, and the organisation of workshops, seminars, and industrial internships.

Speaking at the signing, Acting Vice-Chancellor of ATU, Professor Amevi Ackapovi expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, emphasising its potential to advance education, foster innovation, and strengthen academic ties between Ghana and Togo. He highlighted the shared vision of both institutions to build a robust educational framework that equips students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

“The collaboration will enrich the academic experience, promote language literacy, and support the professional development of all involved,” Professor Acakpovi stated. He also expressed optimism about future partnerships that push the boundaries of knowledge and foster innovations that impact the educational sectors of both countries.

This partnership marks a significant step towards enhancing the quality of education and promoting cross-border academic engagement between the two institutions.
