ATU Engages Congolese Consulate to Expand Academic Access

In a move to foster stronger academic collaborations, the management of Accra Technical University (ATU) has engaged in productive discussions with representatives from the Consulat du Congo, exploring avenues to enhance educational opportunities for the Congolese community in Ghana.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and the Republic of Congo, with both parties emphasising the facilitation of quality education for Congolese students. ATU, renowned for its pioneering technical education over the past 75 years, has positioned itself as a leading institution for students across Africa and beyond.

Jean Pierre Dassouka, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Congo in Ghana, affirmed Ghana’s status as a preferred destination for Congolese students pursuing higher education. He commended ATU’s impressive achievements, high rankings, diverse academic programmes, and state-of-the-art facilities, noting that these attributes make the university an attractive choice for Congolese students. He further assured that his office remains committed to ensuring that Congolese students receive the best academic experience in Ghana by partnering with reputable institutions like ATU, known for its strong track record in delivering competency-based education.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of ATU highlighted the various benefits available to international students, including flexible tuition payment options, scholarship opportunities, and exclusive privileges for foreign students. He emphasised the university’s commitment to equipping international students with the necessary skills to thrive in the job market, whether in their home countries or beyond. Additionally, he mentioned that ATU is focused on preparing students to embrace entrepreneurship, contributing to economic development within their respective nations.
