He is a PhD holder in (Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics: Microbiology and Molecular Biology) from the Jiangsu University, P.R. His career path and progress has been characterised by hard work and dedication to work. From a biology teacher and a research assistant at some point in his life, he joined Accra Technical University as a lecturer in Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics/Cell Biology and Genetics in July 2011. Baxey is an adjunct (part-time) lecturer at Accra Technical University, where he teaches media relations, strategic public relations planning and client relations, and creative thinking and problem-solving. He is an accredited public relations practitioner and the founder of the Newsroom Contest, an extracurricular activity that tests, broadens horizons, and provides experiential learning in news writing or reporting, strategic communication, communication research, and public speaking to undergraduate students pursuing communication studies and related programmes. Professionally, he works at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) as an administrative officer responsible for communication and public relations.
